Tell us about being part of the Festival of Trees 2024?
I have been supporting this community event from the 1st year in Hillcrest in 2021. I am now on the board with this incredible group and proud to be one of this year’s hosts for Festival of Trees alongside my wife Moe Girton and the founder of Festival of the Trees and King of Christmas himself, Bobby Gordon.
Explain the importance of getting involved in LGBTQ+ events like the Festival of Trees?
We all do this for the love of our community and because Festival of Trees supports other non-profit groups that are within our LGBTQ+IA community, it all comes full circle. My wife and I will always step up and put the needs of our community on top.
The Festival of Trees kicks off the holiday season, how do you get in the spirit?
Simply walking into the venue of Festival of the Trees, you are transported to Santa’s workshop. Throw in all the incredible community members that show up to support and it feels like Christmas! It doesn’t get better than this!
